Education

The British Institute of Graphologists is a professional body which was set up to bring together individual graphologists who were passionate about their subject. Almost 20 years later we are just as passionate and want to pass our enthusiasm on to others.

"Handwriting" should really be called "brainwriting" as the impulses that affect the way that we write come from our brains and not our hands. Like fingerprints, our writing is unique to us. As small children most of us are taught to write by following a copymodel that is relevant to our era. As our writing skills and personalities develop and mature, so does our handwriting, so that by the time we are adults, almost all of us have unconsciously made changes to the original model. If temporary or more permanent physical or emotional difficulties occur along life's path, these are reflected in an individual's writing, as are any deterioratons in old age. Have you ever noticed the downhill slope of your writing when you are tired or despondent?

If you enjoy finding out what makes people tick, or wish to follow a career in graphology, come and join the BIG. We have a set three-part exam syllabus leading to a highly-regarded diploma, as well as excellent tutors. Details of how to become a member, the syllabus, tutors contact addresses, and general information regarding the Institute are all available via our Home Page links.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can help in any way, I shall be happy to hear from you.
